Whole Love chords
-------------------------------
transcribed by Graham Robertson
-------------------------------

Notes: I believe this song is actually played tuned a whole step down, in which case the
D's would all be fingered as standard tuning open E's, etc. For those of us who would
rather simply tune down the E-string and play it in drop D, the chords will be laid out as such.

Also, whenever you sit on the D during the verses, you can mimic the bass line by playing
0-2-0 on the A string. If you listen to the song, you should get a feel for what I'm
referring to. For the "I'm simple" verse, you can slide up to the bar chord D to make it
sound like the recording.

The intro sequence is also the chorus and basically involves hitting the bass note
(low E string) followed by an upstroke on the highest note of the chord for each
new chord. Just remember that the chorus starts on the Gadd9 instead of on the D.
Those chords are voiced as follows:

D: 00023x
Gadd9: 5x020x
D/F#: 4x02xx
Em7: 2x00xx

Other chord voicings:
Em: 222000
A: x02220
G: 5x0003

D
My cold marigolds attack

D
My back a bed of roses

D
I'm gonna break my back

NEXT VERSE AND CHORUS SAME AS FIRST:

I will call on the the telephone
I will call when you get mad
I'll still love you to death

And I know that I won't be
The easiest to set free
And I know that I won't be the last Cold captain tied to the mast
And I know that I won't be the one
To secure they'll know what it's from
But I hope I'll know when it's past
And I hope I'll know when I show you my
