...I WISH IT COULD BE CHRISTMAS EVERYDAY... by Wizard
-------------------------------------------..........

*from 'Wizzard Brew' (1973)*

Intro:

D A G,
D G D A7

Verse 1:

         D
When the snowman brings the snow,
        G
Well he just might like to know;
           D Bm Em A7
He's put a great big smile up-on somebody's face.

       D G G/F# Em
If you jump into your bed; quickly cover up your head.
          D
Don't you lock the doors;
         A C D
You know sweet Santa Claus is on the way.

Chorus 1:

     B
Well I...
E A
Wish it could be Christmas every-day,
         B E B
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play.
       E A E/G# F#m
Well I wish it could be Christmas every-day.
           E B A E/G# F#m E, A7
So let the bells, ring out for Christmas.

Verse 2:

           D
When we're skating in the park,
       G
If the snow cloud paints it dark;
          D Bm Em A7
Then your rosey cheeks will light my merry way.

        D
Now the frosticals appeared,
            G G/F# Em
And they've frozen up my beard,
         D
So we'll lie by the fire,
          A C D
'Till the sleep simply melts them all a-way.

Chorus 2:

     B
Well I...
E A
Wish it could be Christmas every-day,
         B E B
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play.
       E A E/G# F#m
Well I wish it could be Christmas every-day.
           E B A E/G# F#m E, A7
So let the bells, ring out for Christmas.

Interlude:

Bm E A,
Bm Dm A A7
D G, A7

Verse 3:

         D
When the snowman brings the snow,
        G
Well he just might like to know;
           D Bm Em A7
He's put a great big smile up-on somebody's face.

      D
So if Santa brings that sleigh,
      G G/F# Em
All a-long The Milky Way,
     D A
I'll sign my name on the rooftop, in the snow,
                        C D
Then he might decide to stay.

Chorus 3:

     B
Well I...
E A
Wish it could be Christmas every-day,
         B E B
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play.
       E A E/G# F#m
Well I wish it could be Christmas every-day.
           E B A E/G# F#m E, A7
So let the bells, ring out for Christmas.

Chorus 4:

     B
Well I...
E A
Wish it could be Christmas every-day,
         B E B
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play.
       E A E/G# F#m
Well I wish it could be Christmas every-day.
           E B A E/G# F#m E
So let the bells, ring out for Christmas.

Break:

              Amaj7
Why don't you give...
     B A E/G# F#m E
Your love, for...Christmas?

Coda:

         E
When the snowman brings the snow,
                            A
When the snowman brings the snow.
         E
When the snowman brings the snow,
                            A
When the snowman brings the snow.

(Repeat to Fade)

Playing a few gigs next week in my regular spot. The crowd keep begging for Christmas songs but I don't know many. This sounds spot on, thanks. 5 stars.
