Hi, this is my first tab so sorry if it's a little basic.
This is to be played with a capo on the 3rd fret, mostly open chords. For example, The
chord (C minor) is played as an A minor shape. The Last chorus however, is bar chords.
Intro:
Cmin, D#maj7th, G#, D#/D#maj7th

Verse 1
Cmin D#maj7th
Running as fast as I can
G# D# D#maj7th
Can't even see where I am now
Cmin D#maj7th
Over the soldiers and sand
G# D# D#maj7th
This wasn't part of the plan

Pre Chorus:
G# D#
I never see the dawn
Cmin D# D#maj7th
Although I know it comes

Chorus 1:
A# Cmin G#
If I ever see blue skies in my town
G#
You know I'll kiss the
D# D#maj7th
ground we walk on
A# Cmin G#
If I ever watch fire flies all around
                   D# D#maj7th
Shining like the stars above them
    G# Cmin
The bullets fly over my head
G# D# A#
Just like the words that you said, son,
   A#min G#
So put down your guns
    G#min
And thats the way
the war was won

Cmin, Csus2

Verse 2:
Cmin D#maj7th
Over the edge and beyond
G# D# D#maj7th
Over the border there's no bombs
Cmin D#maj7th
Falling on soldiers and sand
G# D# D#maj7th
holding their hearts in their hands

Chorus 2:
A# Cmin G#
If I ever see blue skies in my town
G#
You know I'll kiss the
D# D#maj7th
ground we walk on
A# Cmin G#
If I ever watch fire flies all around
G# D# D#maj7th
Shining like the stars above them
    G# Cmin
The bullets fly over my head
G# D# A#
Just like the words you said, son,
      A#min G#
As we put down our guns

the war was won

    G# Cmin
The bullets fly over my head
   G# Cmin
As I lie awake in my bed
  G# D# A#
I just can't forget what you said, son,
