[Verse 1]
G6 C/G Fmaj7
'Member when we were riding in your car
G6 C/G Fmaj7
Not thinkin' 'bout much, didn't get too far
G6 C/G Fmaj7
Nineteen miles til the gas ran out
G6 C/G Fmaj7
And I ain't never walked that far before
G6 C/G Fmaj7
It tastes like candy and cigarettes
G6 C/G Fmaj7
And at that point, hadn't tasted anything better yet
G6 C/G Fmaj7
Got that love that can make a man
G6 C/G Fmaj7

Hey, yeah, hey, yeah, hey, yeah-yeah

[Chorus]
G6 C/G Fmaj7

Say that you love me too
                C/G Fmaj7
Say that you'll call me every single day
                       G6
Place a phone call for you
                 C/G Fmaj7
And I'll let you listen to my favorite tapes
                         G6
Playing my tapes right through
         C/G Fmaj7
Say you love me all the way
Fmaj7
Hey, yeah, hey, yeah, hey, yeah-yeah

[Instrumental]
G6 C/G Fmaj7 x4

[Verse 2]
G6 C/G Fmaj7
She said I'll try to help you if I can
G6 C/G Fmaj7
And after all this time, you're still the man
G6 C/G Fmaj7
We're just books upon a shelf
G6 C/G Fmaj7
Try to understand this if you can
G6 C/G Fmaj7
And then she gives like a bubble bath
G6 C/G Fmaj7
Oh, I love it when you laugh
G6 C/G Fmaj7
Rain like pennies in a tin can
G6 C/G Fmaj7
There's only one question left to ask
Fmaj7
Hey, yeah, hey, yeah, hey, yeah-yeah

[Chorus]
G6 C/G Fmaj7
Do you love me all the way

It sounds to me like theres only an fmaj7 in certain parts, like when they transition into the chorus. Otherwise it sounds like an F to me
