This tab is so underrated. I commend you!! It's not spot-on but very close to it. You're the only one who got the verse right. Generally it's not the easiest song to nail due to some chord changes that last for just a strum or two. The tuning is interesting and I can't tell if it's really in the recording, but I play it in standard and it works.
The whole song has this feel about it because of high e ringing throughout so I wouldn't go for standard D anywhere, but Dadd9. The Dadd9 you mention is actually Dadd9/F# if I'm not mistaken, but that's just a name.
Some other tabs on UG are fine as well, some of them may even sound better, but THIS is the way it is played on the album. BIG THANK YOU FOR THIS TAB!!!!
+1

According to the sheet music it's played in standard tuning with no capo.
The chords are:
A (x02220)
E/G# (4x2450)
Bmadd11 (x24430)
Bm7/11 (x24230)
Dsus2 (x00230)
G6 (320000)
Asus4 (x02230)
This is if you want to play it exactly the way they do. It's tougher but it is the right way.

yes it’s ‘the right way’ but it’s actually not how Coldplay plays it in the recording. they’ve simplified the chords to make it easier to play
