my dad use to play a lot of ccr when i was young as he was in band for about 15 years. He's past away now and i love playing ccr.

I've watched some old video of Credence playing this, I think they are all D-tuned and it is played E, A B7 Just my observation. It's how we play it in our band. You might give that a try for fun.
