[Intro]
C G Am F
[Verse 1]
C G
We will fly, way up high
Am F
Where the cold wind blows
C G
Or in the sun, laughing having fun
Am F
With all the people that she knows
C G
And if the situation should keep us separated
Am F
You know the world won't fall apart
C G
And you will free the beautiful bird
Am F
That's caught inside your heart
[Pre-Chorus]
F
Can't you hear her? Oh she cries so loud
C
Casts her wild note over water and cloud
[Chorus]
F C Dm Bb
That's the way it's gonna be, little darlin'
F C Dm Bb
We'll go riding on the horses, yeah yeah
F C Dm Bb
Way up in the sky, little darlin'
F C Dm Bb
And if you fall I'll pick you up, pick you up
[Instrumental]
C G Am F
[Verse 2]
C G
You will grow and until you go
Am F
I'll be right there by your side
C G
And even then, whisper the wind
Am F
And she will carry up your ride
C G
I hear all the people of the world
Am F
In one bird's lonely cry
C G
See them trying every way they know how
Am F
To make their spirit fly
[Pre-Chorus]
F
Can't you see him? He's down on the ground
C
He has a broken wing, looking all around
[Chorus]

That's the way it's gonna be, little darlin'
F C Dm Bb
We'll go riding on the horses, yeah yeah
F C Dm Bb
Way up in the sky, little darlin'
F C Dm Bb
And if you fall I'll pick you up, pick you up
F C Dm Bb
That's the way it's gonna be, little darlin'

Walter Becker co-wrote The Horses with Rickie Lee Jones. It must be so embarrassing to find out that what you are criticising others of doing you are also guilty of doing. are more guilty of yourself. It’s either total ignorance, stupidity or purposely done but either way you have not one ounce of credibility. I’m also guessing a large dose of penis envy is going on. So TRIGGERED
