Tuning: DGCFAD (full step down)
There's quite a lot of hammer ons while holding chords and Josh plays his G chords like this:
C/G Am G
D|-0------0-----3---|
A|-1------1-----0---|
F|-0------2-----0---|
C|-0h2----0h2---0---|
G|-3------0-----x---|
D|-3------------3---|
[Verse 1]
B7 A G C/G
That was the last New Year I'll ever see
G C/G
And I wanna stay on that magic mountain
G C/G
With lost souls and beautiful women
Am C/G G
I drank some of Farmer's potion
Am C/G G
And we were moving in slow motion
[Chorus]
C/G G
The slower, the better
C/G Em Am
The slower, the better
Am C/G G
'Cause there's no one old on magic mountain
Am C/G G
There's no one old, old on magic mountain
[Verse 2]
B7 A G C/G
And that was the very last barn I'm burning
G C/G
So for now everyone is dancing
G C/G
As if it's any time but the present
Am C/G G
So for now every young thing in my path
Am C/G G
I'll hold their face so long inside my hands
[Chorus]
C/G G
The longer, the better
C/G Em Am
The longer, the better
Am C/G G
'Cause there's no one old on magic mountain
Am C/G G
There's no one old, old on magic mountain
[Verse 3]
B7 A
The wine has all been emptied
G C/G
And smoke has cleared
G C/G
As people file back to the valley
G C/G
On the last night of life's party
Am C/G G
These days the years thin till I can't remember
Am C/G G
Just what it feels like to be young forever
[Chorus]
C/G G
So the longer I stay here
C/G Em Am
The longer there's no future
Am C/G G
So I'm growing old on magic mountain
Am C/G G
I'm growing old, old on magic mountain
[Outro]
B7 A
G C/G (repeat to fade)

A good way to play it if you don't want to tune all the way down is to play with a capo on the first fret in standard tuning. Transposing these chords down 3 steps still keeps the chords sounding open. Tricky to do the hammer ons and stuff though.
Good tab!
