Song: Chardonnay
Artist: Mudhoney
Album: Vanishing Point (2013)
Guitarist: Steve Turner <3

INTRO
The effect pedals is really what makes this work and I guess he sorta plays it like
(Dan's drumsticks)
  1 2 3 4
e-8-------------------------------------------|
b-8-------------------------------------------|
g-10b-----------------------------------------|
D---------------------------------------------|
A---------------------------------------------|
E---------------------------------------------|
I think he sorta plays the D-string a bit open but at the same time he mutes it. Just do
a punk rock
messy Black Flag fucked up feel thing and it should work.

VERSE
(play this as you seem fits these are just the chords you can work around)

 (E)(D)(A)
e----------------------------------------------------------------|
b----------------------------------------------------------------|
g-9--7-----------------------------------------------------------|
D-9--7--7--5-----------------------------------------------------|
A-7--5--7--5-----------------------------------------------------|
E-------5--3-----------------------------------------------------|

"You've always been the critic's darling..."

CHORUS
 (F)(C)(G)(D)
e--------------------------------------------------------------|
b--------------------------------------------------------------|
g----5-----7---------------------------------------------------|
D-3--5--5--7---------------------------------------------------|
A-3--3--5--5--------------------------------0000-3333-22222----|
E-1-----3------------------------------------------------------|

"I see through your charade" "I hate you Chardonnay"

VERSE
CHORUS

SOLO
Basically you can play whatever, it's punk rock. Get creative!
I use this scale alot and it works for me. Now I've adjusted it to fit this song but you
can basically
just move it around the neck to do whatever. It's one of the five scales from the blues
pentatonic thing.
I'm not very good with these things but atleast it works.
e------------------------------10-13---|
b------------------------10-13---------|
g------------------10-12---------------|
D------------10-12---------------------|
A------10-12---------------------------|
E-10-14--------------------------------|

That's about it! Hope you found this helpful, if you have any suggestions on how to improve
this please share it since I only figured this out by ear and by watching them perform.
Have fun!
