Big Money
from "Power Windows"
transcription by pat@jaameri.gsfc.nasa.gov (Patrick M. Ryan)
performance notes:
Alex tunes his guitar up a full step for this song. This was confirmed,
I believe, in an interview. The strings, from bottom to top, are tuned to:
F#, B, E, A, C#, F#. One can still play this song with the standard
tuning but the harmonics in the solo sound sweeter (and are easier to
play) with the alternate tuning. Obviously, one can get the same effect
with a capo on the 2nd fret.
This transcription assumes the alternate tuning. Most of the song
is just "power" chords. The fingered chord will appear first with
the real chord following it in parens. For instance, this first chord
of the song is a B played like an A. It will look like: A(B).
Harmonics appear on the staff in parens.
As with all tabs, we assume that the reader has heard the song and
can pick up the exact rhythms by ear.
Corrections/modifications to me,

Thanks for the comments. I posted this tab over 25 years ago. Feel free to fix my mistakes and submit a new version.

I refer to this tab for the tuning only really, I watched alex play this live and the music video as well to see how he plays the chords for verse/chorus etc - he plays standard chords and the "sometimes pushes people around" part is correctly played differently than on here- There's a lot that is different and i will post a correctly formatted correct tab if i get around to it as it is one of my favorite songs to play - If you are going to invest time learning this song and tuning up a guitar for it, watch alex and listen and you will find the way he plays it is much easier than this tab leads to be (and it will sound better/flow better). The solo is great and sounds so good by itself you will want to learn harmonics and this is a perfect solo for that. This is a fairly easy song to play alex's parts and sing to at same time as well. I am not sure if he plays the very beginning, the D transition, but being as most will no have a band behind them, throw it in, or else it sound disconnected.

Lack of formatting. Tab incomplete. Tab was incomplete, poor formatting, and incorrect terminology used I feel this could've been formatted better as a chord file with some adde tabs
