This is deceptively complex. It's a very different kind of solo than we see much of
anymore.It's almost entirely based on chord shapes. The funny thing is that it sounds like
 
it could easily be 30 years older than it is, but I can think of any classic doo wop
songs that have this kind of solo. In a sense, it's thoroughly traditional and modern.
 
Smoothness is critical. Morphing from chord to chord is the key to playing this
correctly - and it's hard to do. What may come very natural for Brian Setzer is very difficult
 
for most of we mortals. To get the timing correct, try to think of this as a series of
small patterns rather than one long thing. Break it into pieces. Basically, every time
you see an indication to hit the trem bar, that's the end of a pattern.
