G B#m A
Frankly, Mr. Shankly, this position I've held

   B#m A D
It pays my way, and it corrodes my soul

          G B#m A
I want to leave, you will not miss me

          B#m A G D
I want to go down in musical history

G B#m A
Frankly, Mr. Shankly, I'm a sickening wreck

             B#m A D
I've got the 21st century breathing down my neck

             G B#m A
I must move fast, you understand me

             B#m A G
I want to go down in celluloid history, Mr. Shankly

MIDDLE

VERSE 3
G B#m A
Fame, Fame, fatal Fame

            B#m A D
It can play hideous tricks on the brain

               G
But still I'd rather be famous

     B#m A
Than righteous or holy

B#m A G D
Any day, any day, any day

VERSE 4
    G B#m A
But sometimes I'd feel more fulfilled

       B#m A D
Making Christmas cards with the mentally ill

          G B#m A
I want to live and I want to Love

          B#m A G D
I want to catch something that I might be ashamed of

VERSE 5
G B#m A
Frankly, Mr. Shankly, this position I've held

   B#m A D
It pays my way and it corrodes my soul

              G B#m A
Oh, I didn't realise that you wrote poetry

         B#m A G D
I didn't realise you wrote such bloody awful poetry, Mr. Shankly

VERSE 6

G B#m A
Frankly, Mr. Shankly, since you ask

          B#m A D
You are a flatulent pain in the arse

         G B#m A
I didn't mean to be so rude

         B#m A G
Still, I must speak frankly, Mr. Shankly

                 D

Not bad at all. Remember that Marr overlays with other guitars, voicings might be a bit off and you probably don't want to hitting the bass notes, but basically it's correct, cheers.

Yes - I think it's well done too! Obviously the B#m should be a Bm - but what's wrong with playing it without the capo just using F Am G etc? Sounds OK to me!
