Strumming

This can only ever be an approximation of the amazing piano work on this song,
especially the "brambles" part, which defies basic chords. I've done my best with
that bit, but you might find a subtle re-ordering of the chords suits your tastes
better.

Best played picked, not really a strumming song.

On the "snow" bit, use the high note to play a bit of the melody, so the final G
would be 32002x.

Hammering on the sus4 during the "this is cooling" line works well.

The "these kisses" bit: just mess around with various combinations
of A, Asus4, A7, A7sus4.

You can simplify some of the more demanding chords a bit, they'll still work OK.

        A/C# D
Maybe I didn't like to hear
      A/C# D A/C# Gadd9 Bm7
But I still can't believe Speed Racer is dead
          A/C# D
So then I thought I'd make some plans
    A/C# D A/C# Gadd9 Bm7
But fire thought she'd really rather be water instead

Bm A G
Bm A G

    Bm A G
And Peggy, get a message for me
     D A Bsus2
From Je.........sus

And I've heard every word
Dsus4 D A7sus4 Em/G Bm A G
That you have sai......d
    Bm A Gadd9
And I know that I have been
D D/C# D/A A G Gmaj7 G
Driven like the sno............w, but

Gadd9 Bmadd9
Faster than I can

Gadd9 Bm Asus4 A
Faster than I ...

      D#sus2 Dm Gm
Well, do I hate what she is?
   D#sus F Gm7
Or do I want to be her?
D#sus2 A#sus2 Cm Gm
And don’t we love something fresh?
D#sus2 A#sus2 Cm Gm F
Anything new or virgin ...
D#sus2 Gm7
Woman, you got too many brambles
Cm Gm7 F
Hiding under these bushes
D#sus2 Gm7
Woman, you got too many brambles
      D#sus2 A#

She said “I know that you don't
Bm Bm/A A A/C#
like me much,
      Gadd9 Bm7
