| G D | G D | Em | Em |

C B Em
That night her kiss told me it was over

C B Em G
I walked out late into the dark

          A C B
The misty gloom seems to soak up my sorrow

C B
 The further I went on

C B
 I felt a spreading calm

     C B Em
Then suddenly my eyes were bathed in light

        C B Em
And the lovely lady in white was by my side

          G A C B
She said "like me I see you’re walking alone

C B
 Won’t you please stay? "

C B G D G D
 I couldn’t look away

          G D G D
She said, I... love the night

    G D G
The day is ok and the sun can be fun but I live

             D G D G D
To see those rays slip away

G D G D
I... love the night

           G D G
There’s so much I can show and give to you

            D G D
If you will welcome me tonight

   G D G D
If only you had been there my dear

G D G D
We could have shared this together

etc..

For the intro, it isn't a G chord. It is actually a variation of a C X32033. In fact almost every G in your version should be replaced by this chord. The only G in this song is
G Am(not major) C B
Like me I see you're walking alone

Also, I'm pretty sure the verses start with an Am instead of a C. It makes the C more pronounced when you switch from Am to C in the "Like me..." line.

Hope you don't mind my nitpicking. If you try these changes I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I myself am a HUGE BOC fan! I saw them in concert a few months ago.
