The song sounds best when played almost entirely with bar chords, the only exception
the Dm found in each verse.
The rhythm is rather simple, the bass notes of each chord generally fall on beats 1 and
while the chords are played on beats 2 and 4. Some minor syncopation sounds excellent as well.

Intro:

C - Bm - Am - G - F - Em -
- G

Verse 1:
           C Bm
Well it's another warm day
       Am G
in the city of cold hearts.
     F Em Dm G
They all just play the part of who they are.

        C Bm
And I'm here on my own.
    Am G
I'd rather be alone
     F Em Dm G
than try to be someone that I'm not.

Chorus:
        F G
And you seem like someone
            C Bm Am G F
who could appreciate the fact
            G C
that I'm no ordinary man.

C - Bm - Am - G - F - Em -
- G

Verse 2:
         C Bm
And it's misunderstood
Am G
what you've heard about me.
  F Em Dm G
I see why you would doubt me, but know this

C Bm
No one has a right
  Am G
until they've fought my fight
   F Em Dm G
to understand just where I'm coming from.

Chorus:
              F G
And it's that fight that brought me here
 C Bm Am G F
exactly as I am,
   G C
no ordinary man.

C - Bm - Am - G - F - Em -
- G

Verse 3:
           C Bm
Well it's another warm day
       Am G
in the city of cold hearts.
   F Em Dm G
It ends before it starts in their maze.

    C Bm
But you, you're not like that.
    Am G
You know where it's at.
    F Em Dm G
The only rules you follow are your own.

Chorus:
        F G
And you seem like someone
            C Bm Am G F
who could appreciate the fact
            G C
that I'm no ordinary man.

Merdyff
Not bad, but Bm should be C/B.
+1
flatwound
Merdyff is spot on with the C/B Chord instead of Bm. This is the main Chord sequence: C...C/B...Am...G...F...C*...Dm...G Where C/B = X 2 0 0 1 0 And C* = X 3 2 0 1 0 is plucked on the D string Also, no idea why all the other TABs say to CAPO at the 5th fret. This tabber has it right, there's NO CAPO.
